Saks Fifth Avenue to Launch New Omakase Sushi Spot

Following in the footsteps of Breakfast at Tiffany’s, luxury fashion emporium Saks is set to launch Hoseki, a tiny six-seat sushi spot serving a 12-course omakase menu and a selection of a la carte hand rolls. The venue, from Maxwell Weiss and chef Daniel Kim, who previously worked at Sushi Zo and was head chef at Sushi by Bou, is set to open on June 22.

The jewel-themed restaurant mirrors Saks’ downstairs jewelry floor, and the $95 omakase meal and a la carte hand rolls priced between $35 and $70 will be served from a curved counter.

“Continuing to push the boundaries of where sushi can be served, Weiss and Kim now provide an oasis for hungry shoppers,” said Saks’ representatives.
